The nickname "k.hart" started back in high school and continued through college and my early 20s

(and still continues today with some of my closest friends) and I knew I wanted to hang on to it even after getting married and changing my name. So, personally, I'm now Kaitlin Windmueller, but professionally, I'll always be Kaitlin Hartman ... or k.hart.

And no, I am not hyphenating that 18-letter last name!

I am always looking for any excuse to celebrate anything and everything and almost always in planning mode. I definitely got it from my momma, always watching her prepare the house for holidays, parties, or whatever the occasion was. For as long as I can remember, I've wanted to be a professional event planner. I love meeting new people, seeing plans come together, and creating experiences big and small. With a background in logistics, I have a keen attention to detail and a need for hands-on application. When I first made the decision to get my feet wet in this industry, I immediately fell in love with the process, seeing first-hand what it really takes, and thinking to myself "this is what I'm meant to be doing."

Aside from the planning + organization of it all, I love a good love story! I am truly honored to be a part of the most special day in a couple's life. Regardless of the colors in the floral arrangements or the timing of the toasts, at the end of the day two people have agreed to spend the rest of their lives together and I strive to make it a moment they will cherish forever.

I pride myself on my level of professionalism and my passion to succeed. My goal as a wedding planner is to not only create unforgettable moments for every couple and each of their guests, but also establish a network of reliable, sought-after industry professionals to partner with. I want to be able to make every event, large or small, the best it possibly can be! And I truly believe the best way to do that is by just bringing amazing people together.

I live for happy hours (particularly in the summertime, somewhere on a patio), date nights with my hubs, girls nights with my best gals, and country music (but love to get down to just about any genre of music)!

I got married to my best friend in 2020 on the most beautiful November day St. Louis has probably ever seen. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the day was perfect in every way and we have never felt so lucky and so loved to be surrounded by all our favorite people. Planning my own wedding and a few others in the midst of the pandemic, definitely further prepared me for any and all worst-case scenarios to plan ahead for!

A few more fun facts about me:

  • I'm 1 of 5 girls (nope, no boys!) and my mom is also 1 of 5 girls... Crazy, right?

  • I'm obsessed with F.R.I.E.N.D.S

  • Addicted to Starbucks coffee and the furthest thing from a Morning Person

  • I'm not great at filtering myself which can be a blessing and a curse at times

  • I'd take French fries or chips over ice cream or cookies any day of the week
